Choose The Right Wording For Your Wedding Invitations

The first impression your guests will get about your wedding is from the initial wedding invitation that comes through the post. Therefore, they play an important part of your wedding, and should be chosen with great care.

Wedding invitations can determine if some people decide whether to attend a wedding or not, depending on the design and style of the invitation. A wedding invitation that looks fun and inviting gives the impression the party will be fun and open and creates a feeling of excitement.  They will  most likely feel more inclined to attend. On the other hand, a wedding invitation that seems dull or impersonal will give the impression the wedding will also be this way and people are less likely to be keen on attending.

The wording for wedding invitations also plays an important part of it.  First of all, whichever style or content you choose, ensure the wording is spelt correctly, particularly your guest’s names.  You don’t want your wedding to be remembered for some typo that looked funny in the wording for wedding invitations just because of a simple mistake.

The wording for the wedding invitations can include a poem. You should choose a poem that both you and your husband like.  It is also a good idea to get your parents involved in the selection.  This way, they will be pleased you value their opinion and you can ensure you don’t offend anyone.  This can sometimes be the case if there are people from different religions attending.

Deciding on the tone of the wedding invitation also needs consideration.  Previously, it used to be solemn and glamorous, but this is not necessary anymore and there is no reason they can’t have a more casual tone.

Just remember it is your wedding so at the end of the day, its up to you to choose the wording you want!  You want every fine detail to be just perfect.
